After finishing my hike in the Cordillera Huayhuash I had a few days to spend around Huaraz before I went to Lima to fly home. I was able to meet up with Guillaume again (he had arrived in Huaraz and hiked the Cordillera Huayhuash shortly I left for the hike) and we decided to have one last adventure together. We settled on going rock climbing outside Huaraz.

We booked with a company near the Andean Summit Travel Agency. While I can’t remember the name, I do remember it was owned by a woman from Argentina and was right next to a hostel and bar. Anyway, Guillaume and I paid around $30 USD to go climbing for the day. This included transportation there, all the necessary gear, and a guide for the two of us. It was great because there was no time limit on how long we climbed it was simply until we were tired and didn’t want to continue.

We ended up climbing for the better part of 5ish hours. The views were beautiful and there were a ton of different routes for us to do. The guide was really friendly and personable. This was a great activity to finish off my 3 weeks in Huaraz and my last outdoor adventure in South America!
